Whether it be acting or singing Nico "Rocks" Calero
brings his A-game. Since he was a young boy, he was immersed in music which was
a part of his everyday life. His family filled the house with all types of genres
of music from Latin, R&B, Country, Pop, K-Pop, Reggaeton and more.
It was no wonder
that music would be a road he would take. But it turned out the acting bug stung
him first. He landed a role in an episode of Law & Order: SVU, and his acting career
really took off. Even if that being true, he never stopped singing.
That is when a new door in the music industry opened, he could not refuse.

In 2022 artist, Mario Lopez reached out to Nico and offered
him an opportunity to join the new version of Menudo (which was established back
in 1977). Nico spent two years with the group and honed his singing and performing
skills and came back as a solo act. While with the group he appeared on such shows
like Live with Kelly and Ryan, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Sherri
Shepherd Show, Hoy DŠa, and Despierta América. His time with Menudo even
offered him a chance to appear on America's Got Talent receiving accolades from
Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell. He would soon go on to write and co-produce five
songs which are available on all streaming platforms.
"Since I was about five years old, my biggest inspiration has always been Michael
Jackson. I taught myself all his choreography, and I still sing his songs today. When
it comes to acting, I look up to several legends-people whose craft has really shaped
the industry. Their dedication, versatility, and presence continue to inspire me."
2023 was a milestone year for Nico when he shared the stage at the iHeartRadio's
Fiesta Latina as part of Menudo, performing alongside Latin music icons Olga Tañón,
Chayanne, and Luis Figueroa. Nico's fan base would grow more as he was out and about
in 2025 as he performed during the Puerto Rican Day celebrations drawing a crowd to
sing along with him on a rendition of the single "Aguanile".
"It was surreal. Sharing the stage with such icons—legends I've grown up watching
and listening to-was an unforgettable moment. I soaked in every second, watching how
they command the stage and connect with the crowd. It inspired me to push myself even
harder as a performer."
On the acting side of things this Fall he featured in two major TV series: "Only
Murders in the Building" and "The Beauty". For the upcoming holiday season,
he will be acting alongside the legendary Martin Sheen on the project "The One".
Currently, Nico has just released an infectious-pulsating new track titled "Baile".
The track was a collaboration with the duo Klubjumpers who have remixed tracks for such
legends as Jason Derulo.
Britney Spears, and Madonna. The Latin EDM track is a hot blend of reggaeton and exotic pounding rhythms that will fill any dance floor worldwide. Nico is not a new kid on the block
