Here he goes again. The creative and multi-faceted David Craig Ellis has rolled out a new solo exhibit titled "Yard Sale" which began June 1 and will run till July 31st. His locale "Not Another Gallery" nestled in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn at 109 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11249 (between Bedford and Berry) has become a staple in the neighborhood offering all types of artwork and versatile artists who showcase their work. David has been a force in the art world since the early 90's and a musician for even longer. From his various galleries to his adorable dog who greets guests and artists with a smile it is no wonder he has become a fixture in the diverse area of Brooklyn. David is known for his stylish iconography and defiant humor every summer he and his gallery harks back to the psychedelic era of the 70's.

Currently, he has opened his gallery with a new type of show that offers various treats for everyone. It is a celebration of 1970s rock-and-roll culture, raw creativity, and punk-era DIY energy. It began with a preview party on June 13th which offered free wine, Free STARFKRS coffee, free cake by SWEETHAZE CAKES and two hundred plus original paintings (which were marked down to $100 during the reception). He also unveiled the new "What Would Jackson Do? T-shirt. Jackson being his adorable pup.

"Where I come from in Ontario, at the onset of summer every year we would go to "Art In The Park," a giant mixed media of eccentrics, weirdo's and art lovers alike. Hundreds of booths with everything creative imaginable. I thought, how fun would that be, all in one room? Currently, in today's climate I don't pay attention to what others are doing so much, I just keep my head down, attempt to make stuff that I feel is fun to combat the pure insanity happening now. It's totally nuts."

Following the preview he is having the Opening Party / Independence Day Celebration which will take place July 4th from 3-9 pm with an open bar. The show will offer items like prints, T-shirts, and posters. Specialty items like "The Used Collection" which are 30 years of repurposed personal clothing, rebranded "Used by D.C. Ellis". Additionally, there will be a towering sculpture of a giant Italian rainbow cookie. There will be a Post Card Program where you can send a handmade postcard anywhere in the world for $5. Also, you can pick up books, posters, prints, tote bags, mugs, hats all for sale. A raffle giveaway to win a large painting from the infamous "Fat Kiss" series. Finally, a dog-friendly venue with Jackson Pawlick, the painting dog and iconic house mascot. When it comes to his favorite part of the show David gave us his input.
